IN THE PINK DAY � BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Peter Prosser Hairdressing, and winner of �Midlands Hairdresser of the Year 2004� are extremely proud to announce that not only will they again be supporting �Breast Cancer Awareness Month� 2005, but are also the main sponsors for the Breast Cancer Haven, in Hereford, in the West Midlands.
This year the event has been renamed �Midlands in the Pink Day� with many forms of business, schools, shops and individuals throughout the community, showing their support by doing something PINK to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford.
The second of its kind, the Haven opened in Hereford in January 2004. As the name suggests, it is a Haven for any breast cancer sufferer who is able and willing to travel to Hereford and from the surrounding counties. Breast Cancer Haven is committed to creating a national network of Havens recognised as centres of excellence in breast cancer support. It aims to support the physical and emotional needs of anyone affected by breast cancer. The free Haven programme offers up to date information, counselling, education and complementary therapies to meet the needs of the visitor before, during and after conventional medical treatment for breast cancer. By providing support and complementary therapies, Breast Cancer Haven aims to help women and men affected by breast cancer transform their lives and their sense of well-being. The charity is committed to working alongside the NHS and other healthcare professionals to promote integrated breast cancer care.

So for me as �Midlands Hairdresser of the Year� to be able to sponsor �Midlands in the Pink�, then I am thrilled to do whatever I can to help such a worthy cause!�
Friday 14th October, Peter Prosser and his team will be joining in the fun to raise as much money as possible for the Haven, collecting donations from the clients and of course, in keeping with the day itself, they will be donning themselves in PINK! Peter has already pledged to personally donate all his takings to the Haven, which are estimated to exceed �1000.00 as well as the collections, which will all, go towards opening additional Havens in the future.
