Ashley didn’t discover his desire for hairdressing until he started at College, which is where he found he could utilise his vocational skills into a rewarding career.
Ashley’s talent for cutting soon saw him signing up for the Peter Prosser Academy, of which he was one of the first trainees. “I wanted to work for Peter Prosser because I knew it was the best in Hereford” Ashley says, “I used to have my hair cut by Kristina Jones, and so knew about the salon through her. I wanted to be a part of this great business.” He has now been with the salon seven years!
Ashley praised Peter Prosser for the incredible opportunities the salon creates, and thus presents. “If you have the willing, then the scope is limitless as to what you can achieve. Peter and Tracey encourage us to progress, and allow you to really exceed yourself.”
Ashley, alongside John Lucock, took to the stage at the international hair show, Salon International, which he enjoyed immensely. “To be on-stage alongside some of hairdressing’s biggest names was incredible. It was a massive platform for me, and another great boost for the Peter Prosser name.”
Although trained in women’s hairdressing, Ashley is primarily a men’s hairdresser, and boasts an extremely busy clientele. Whilst this is fantastic, Ashley hopes to also undertake further opportunities outside the salon, such as more stage work, photoshoots, and the possibility of award entering.
It is this kind of drive and ambition that leads to Ashley being an impressive force within the Peter Prosser Artistic Team.
